In 1990, the founder, Dr. Chiang Chen, donated all the shares of the Chen Hsong Group to 

establish the Chiang Chen Industrial Charitable Foundation, with the aim of promoting China's 

industrial development and nurturing industrial talents to improve the living standards of the 

Chinese people.

The Foundation has been established for 30 years, with a cumulative total of HK$400 million 

in training activities, scholarships and donations. The Foundation has sponsored over 7,000 

students from the Greater China region to pursue engineering or technology-related courses 

locally or overseas.

Mission of the Foundation:

Encourage and subsidize the training of different organizations to promote industrial and 

economic development

Encourage and subsidize the improvement of technology and production techniques in 

machinery manufacturing

Encourage and subsidize research and development of new production machines

Achievements of the Foundation

1. Scholarship Program

Until now, more than 146 Chinese undergraduate and graduate students have been awarded 

scholarships to study at top international universities, including more than 24 American 

universities such as MIT and Columbia University, 10 universities in Hong Kong, 19 top 

universities in China, and 4 universities in Taiwan.

2、International Conferences and Awards

Since 1991, the International Conference on Manufacturing Technology has been organized, 

bringing together Chinese and foreign experts to discuss the development of manufacturing 

technology and strategic manufacturing management.

Since 1991, the Chiang Chen Technology Achievement Award has been presented to recognize 

outstanding contributions of ethnic Chinese to the advancement of mechanical and 

manufacturing technology/industry in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Each recipient receives a 

$100,000 award.

The Chiang Chen Outstanding Business Leader Award is presented to recognize the outstanding 

achievements of business leaders who have built Chinese corporate brands in the spirit of 

innovation and achieved regional and international influence. 

3. Industrial technology and management training courses

Has trained over 60,000 industrial technology and management personnel for China's 

manufacturing industry and governments across the country.

4、Friends of the Fund

Gathering industrial science and technology and management talents donated in the past 

years as well as international cooperation organizations to create industrial science and 

technology power with great potential and promote the unlimited development of China's 

industry.
